The Michigan Sheriff Mounted Association (MSMA) will ride again. Every year more than 250 members, from 23 different counties come together for a weekend in June.
This year on Saturday June 09, 2012... MSMA riders will be mounting up for the 50th Pony Express Ride.
Each rider will carry the mail for a mile before handing it off to the next rider. The mail comes from donors who have written letters to family and friends. At the end of the ride, each letter receives the official Pony Express Stamping before being delivered to the US Post office.
Each Year all the funds raised by the Pony Express weekend are donated to a needy recipient.
