It shall be the purpose of the Michigan Sheriff's Mounted Association, (M.S.M.A) to tender assistance both directly and indirectly, to the State of Michigan.  To assist the counties of Michigan whenever called upon in civil defense, disaster or whatever other assistance in law enforcement that my be requested.

 

    The purpose of the M.S.M.A is to further interest in horsemanship and develop fellowship with those who share this interest.  To train all interested members of the M.S.M.A whenever possible.  To have an association that have all been trained the same, and in many different areas.

 

    It is the intent of the M.S.M.A to support the State of Michigan, when called upon by the Sheriff's of all counties, and not in anyway replace or supplant the regular Deputies of the State of Michigan.
